E1T1 | Career Readiness in Advertising
Each One, Teach One is an educational program with the goal to prepare the next generation of BIPOC high school students for a career in advertising.
Why? Both high school and college students are facing challenges identifying meaningful career paths because of limited career exploration opportunities.
With Each One, Teach One, students complete the program with a stamp of approval on their resume from the industry recognized The One Club, giving them applicable experience and confidence to explore a internships or entry-level positions in advertising, without a college degree.
WHY EACH 1, TEACH 1?
With the advertising industry dropping the college degree requirements, high school students need a program to prepare them for a career in advertising. There are tons of programs dedicated to college students, but nothing for high schoolers. Each One, Teach One wants to loosen the barrier for those talented students to enter the industry.
Our aim is to assist a cohort of 20 high school students from the same institution while expanding the program's scope. Unlike brief college 'bootcamps' lasting a week, we understand that high school students require more time to grasp the subject, feel comfortable, and gain family support for their potential career path. Tailored for those new to the advertising industry, our program introduces them to this field. To ensure comprehensive learning, students have ample time to absorb and master course materials.
We've developed a meticulous five-month hybrid program with five monthly sessions. This structure offers immersive, collaborative learning in a cohort-based setting, enhancing support, providing a clear framework, networking opportunities, and real-world insights. Rooted in project-based learning, our program exposes students to various careers and responsibilities. Graduates will possess tangible skills for resumes with an entry-level project.
